Paramount Fine Foods is the fastest growing Middle Eastern food chain in Canada that offers a variety of different foods at an affordable cost. Paramount is located at 253 Yonge St, Toronto and is open from 10am -10pm Sunday to Thursday and from 10am - 11pm Friday and Saturday. It’s prime location on Yonge and Dundas makes it easy for Ryerson students to grab a Middle Eastern meal and it is less than a 5-minute walk from the SLC. Paramount offers take out and dine in options for anyone who is craving Middle Eastern foods while on the go or looking for a place to sit and dine with friends and family.
It is safe to say Paramount offers something for everyone, its large menu options make it a great place for even the pickiest eater. Paramount offers a variety of meats for meat lovers like chicken, beef, lamb, and pork for just as little as $7.99 and up to $22.99 (depending if you want to go all out or dine on a budget). For vegans and vegetarians there are also several options to choose from such as various salads, soya wraps, falafel wraps, hummus, soups, and veggie pizzas. All prices are accessible online which is great as many people like to look at the menu before going to a restaurant (to access the menu click this link http://www.paramountfinefoods.com/menu/).

Paramount is usually busy during dinner hours which run from 6pm -10pm as they are famous for their large shareable platters. I happened to stop by around lunch which was 2pm, this is usually a good time as it isn’t too busy and you are still served in a timely manner. This specific location has newly renovated their dining area to a more modernized setting, the large window at the front is a cool place to sit if you want to grab a quick bite before going to your next class.
I had one of the vegan options which was a falafel wrap. Inside the wrap it had three pieces of falafel, fresh parsley, onions, turnip, pickles, tomatoes and tahini sauces all wrapped in pita bread. This wrap costs $7.33 after tax, it was very filling and just what I needed in between classes. I got my wrap as a “to go” meal and received my order within 5 minutes, the service during that hour was extremely quick.
I would rate my experience 5/5, I really enjoyed the vibe and energy. The affordable prices and great tasting food make this place the perfect restaurant and I would recommend it to all my friends and family.
